FMA LISTSERVS

Temple University's Film and Media Arts Department maintains several listservs (email mailing lists) for the purpose of communication between students and faculty. If you are a member of the Temple community, you can sign-up to receive announcements about upcoming opportunities for jobs, festival distribution, grants, guest speakers, classes and more. You must use a Temple email address.

FMA-L@listerv.temple.edu

This is an all-purpose FMA program listserv that goes out to all of the faculty, staff and students in FMA who have signed-up to be on this list. Anyone on the list can send an email to the entire list. The best way to join this list is to visit this page:

and click on "join the list." You can also use the alternate method described below.

FMA-ANNOUNCE@listerv.temple.edu

This is an FMA program listserv that is used for various messages and announcements from the Department Chair. The best way to join this list is to visit this page:

and click on "join the list." You can also use the alternate method described below.

MFAPROGRAM@listserv.temple.edu

This is an MFA program listserv used for various messages and announcements from the Graduate Director. The best way to join this list is to email Eran Preis, the current Graduate Director directly and ask to be put on it. Be sure to include your Temple email address in the request.

FMA@listserv.temple.edu

The MFA Association listserv is restricted to graduate students only and used for various messages & announcements. The best way to join this list is to email Ian Markiewicz, the current MFA Association President and ask to be put on it. Be sure to include your Temple email address.

Alternate Method For Subscribing

Here is Temple's two-step process.

Step 1) Send your request to subscribe:
To subscribe to a list, send an e-mail message to:listserv@listserv.temple.edu
Leave the subject blank and type the following text as the message:

sub listname first-name last-name

For example, if your name is Joe Rodriguez and you want to subscribe to the list named fma-announce, type:

sub fma-announce Joe Rodriguez

and send the message.

Step 2) Confirm your subscription request:
Once you have sent your request to subscribe, the listserv will send an email to your account. Open your email and reply to the message with the word "ok" as the only text. After you reply, you should receive one or two messages from the listserv, letting you know the status of your request.
